John – thank you for your question. I list and sell homes in Howard, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Frederick, Carroll and the northern parts of Montgomery & Prince Georges Counties.

Mary – thank you for asking about the local market. For now things appear to have stablized but it’s not clear if the market will continue this way or if it will dip some more. No one knows when we’re at the bottom until things have been going upwards for a few months.

3 Anon { 12.09.09 at 1:06 pm }: My husband lost his job and we have a 3-year Adjustible mortage and our payment will go up significantly in January. Our home also needs some work (exterior painting, etc.) that we cannot afford. Although I’m working, we can barely make our payment now and definitely won’t be able to make our payment when it increases. Is there anything we can do?

If you haven’t already done so, please call your lender and tell them what you have told me. Depending on your situation you may be able to renegotiate your loan down to something you can afford. In the meantime, please call me and I’ll give you advice on what options are available in your situation, particularly if your lender won’t work with you on the loan modification.
